Bluetooth Hardware & Software Development

We have many years of experience developing Bluetooth and other 2.4 GHz radio devices, from initial concept through to mass production. Many of the products we’ve worked on are now successfully selling under various brands.

What We Deliver

We build compact, low-cost Bluetooth solutions designed for real-world use. Typical project specifications include:
✔ Small power supply (15–220 mAh)
✔ Compact device size (for example, ~10 × 20 mm)
✔ Low manufacturing cost for the assembled board and power supply

What Matters in Bluetooth Product Design

When designing Bluetooth-enabled devices, there are several important considerations:

Hardware Design:
• Proper PCB layout — for example, avoiding long high-frequency traces on 2-layer boards
• Adequate space for antennas
• Correct feed-line design to minimize parasitic capacitance
• High-quality grounding for RF crystals to reduce harmonic distortion
• Convenient test points for automated testing in production
• Appropriate edge clearance so boards can be manufactured reliably

Software & Toolchain:
• Your choice of toolchain usually depends on the chip manufacturer
• Decide early whether an RTOS is required
• For many small embedded systems, a simple finite-state machine architecture is sufficient
• Agree on documentation and coding standards with your client to ensure maintainability
• Include debugging interfaces — they’re essential for tuning power consumption and connectivity

We also develop custom higher-level protocols that run over Bluetooth or other transports, giving you flexibility beyond standard profiles when needed.

We also have experience developing custom protocols on top of Bluetooth and other data-transfer technologies. In this approach, Bluetooth (or another protocol) is used purely as a transport layer for bidirectional data exchange, while all higher-level logic is implemented separately. This allows us to avoid the limitations of standard protocol profiles.
